As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Serengeti hosts around 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, which join the wildebeest migration in search of fresh grazing. Experience the mesmerizing sights and sounds of over six million hooves thundering across the plains, bringing the African wilderness to life. Colorful agama lizards bask on rocks, rock hyraxes scurry across the surfaces of isolated granite kopjes, and numerous dung beetles go about their work. Bird enthusiasts will delight in spotting some of the park’s 500 recorded species—from the towering ostrich and the quirky secretary bird of the grasslands to the black eagles soaring gracefully above Lobo Hills. In the evening, you’ll return to your camp for relaxation and an overnight stay.

The crater’s permanent water supply and lush grasslands support a rich variety of species, from wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, elands, and warthogs to hippos and the massive African elephants. Predators are abundant as well, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a keen eye to spot.

Optional: You can visit a Maasai boma to experience traditional Maasai dance, explore an authentic village, and browse for local souvenirs. These activities may incur an additional cost—check with your safari expert to include them in your itinerary.

The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 04: Tarangire National Park to Arusha Aiport

Meals:

Breakfast, Lunch

Destination:

Tarangire National Park

Activity

Game Drive and Departure

Drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its diverse landscapes and iconic Ancient Baobab trees. The park hosts the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, offering unique opportunities to observe the dynamics within elephant families. Enjoy a game drive across the park, focusing on areas where wildlife has been recently sighted. While predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards can be elusive, herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are abundant and easily spotted.
