Game Drive in Mikumi
Our professional driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar (preferably Stone Town) and transfer you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. From here, you will board your morning flight at 7:30 am to Mikumi National Park, a journey of just over an hour.
Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our professional driver-guide. After brief introductions, you will set off on your first game drive through Mikumi National Park, exploring its diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes.
At midday, you’ll stop at a selected restaurant inside the park to enjoy a hot lunch and a short rest before continuing with an afternoon and sunset game drive. Later, you will proceed to your campsite, camp, or lodge located near or inside the park, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay while reflecting on the day’s wildlife encounters.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drives in Mikumi National Park and Back to Zanzibar

Game Drive and Departure
Your day begins with an early breakfast before leaving the campsite, camp, or lodge for a sunrise game drive. This morning drive will last about 4 to 5 hours, after which you will enjoy a hot lunch inside the park. The adventure continues across the Mikumi plains until late afternoon.
During these two days of game drives, you will often encounter yellow baboons, Masai giraffes, African bush elephants, common elands, hippos, wildebeests, zebras, and many more. Lions, spotted hyenas, hartebeests, and jackals are also occasionally seen. With some luck, you may even spot rare species such as leopards and serval cats.
