Game Drive in Tarangire

We will pick you up from your hotel and, after meeting your guide and chef, drive to Tarangire National Park (about 2 hours). The park is well known for its varied landscape, the striking ancient Baobab trees, and the largest elephant population in the country, offering excellent opportunities to watch elephant families interact.

Your game drive will follow the areas with reported wildlife activity, giving you a chance to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which are more difficult to see, along with plenty of herbivores including giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras.

Around midday, you will stop at the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can enjoy lunch while overlooking the river and nearby animals. Playful monkeys and baboons may try to disturb your meal, but there is no need for concern.

After lunch, the game drive continues until around 4:30 pm, before exiting the park and driving to Mto Wa Mbu, where you will spend the night at the campsite.

You will make a short stop at the gate and viewpoint to admire the spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop 2: Maasai Village, Ngorongoro Conservation Area
An optional visit to a Maasai village offers the chance to learn about the unique culture of this iconic tribe, once known for lion hunting and drinking raw animal blood as marks of tradition. While most of these practices are no longer followed (except for drinking blood), the experience gives valuable insight into their heritage.
Duration: 20–45 minutes (optional)

Serengeti National Park
Covering 14,750 square kilometers (5,700 sq mi), Serengeti is world-famous for the annual wildebeest and zebra migration, with over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras moving together in a survival partnership.

Your main focus will be the Seronera area (the central Serengeti). You will arrive in the late afternoon, take lunch, and then head out for a game drive in Seronera until evening. Enjoy the magical Serengeti sunset and watch wildlife up close, with the chance of witnessing a predator on the hunt or feeding on a kill. Later, proceed to Seronera Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Seronera, Serengeti National Park

Wake up early at 6:00 am and enjoy a hot cup of coffee before heading out from the campsite for a morning game drive in the heart of Serengeti National Park. Witness the stunning sunrise while spotting wildlife—though mornings can be chilly, so remember to carry warm clothes.

Continue with the game drive until midday, then return to camp for a combined breakfast and lunch (brunch). Later, depart the camp and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a game drive en route. In the evening, arrive at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Half Day Game Drive

On the final day of your Tanzania safari, after breakfast and packing a picnic lunch, you will take a short drive to the descent gate and head down 650 meters to the crater floor for a half-day game drive. With some luck, you may spot a rhinoceros. The crater is home to many permanent residents, as its year-round water sources make it a preferred habitat, though animals are free to move in and out.

After lunch, ascend back to the crater rim, collect your camping gear, and drive back to Arusha. This marks the end of your 4-day Tanzania safari.
