This group safari (maximum of 6–7 travelers per vehicle, each with a window seat and access to a pop-up roof) combines classic wildlife adventures with cultural and outdoor experiences.
The journey begins at the Ngorongoro Crater, widely regarded as the best wildlife park in Tanzania. Its breathtaking crater landscape makes it easier to spot animals, and it offers one of the most beautiful sceneries in Africa. You’ll also visit Tarangire National Park, known as the “home of elephants,” where large herds roam freely. Alongside elephants, you may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, warthogs, ostriches, vultures, monkeys, baboons, and more.
Day 3: Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Experience
On your final day, immerse yourself in Tanzania’s great outdoors with a full-day excursion to Materuni. Begin with a guided hike to the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls, where you can enjoy the cool mist or take a refreshing swim. Afterwards, visit a local coffee farm to learn about traditional coffee cultivation and processing, ending with a fresh cup made the local way. This day offers the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation.

Game Drive in Tarangire
You will be picked up from your hotel, and after meeting your guide and chef, set off on a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, a destination renowned for its diverse landscapes. The park is famous for its towering ancient baobab trees and is home to the largest population of elephants in Tanzania, offering exceptional opportunities to observe their fascinating social interactions.
Your game drive will follow areas with reported wildlife activity, with the chance to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, while herbivores like giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest are abundant throughout the park.
Around midday, stop at the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with a scenic view of the river and its wildlife. You may notice playful monkeys and curious baboons attempting to get close to your food, but there’s no need to worry.
After lunch, continue with another game drive before exiting the park around 4:30 pm. From there, you’ll head to Mto wa Mbu, where you will spend the night at the campsite.

With some luck, you may spot the rare rhinoceros. Coffee Visiting and Departure
Materuni, home to the Chagga tribe, is an authentic village located just 15 km from Moshi and the last settlement before entering Kilimanjaro National Park.
In the morning, your English-speaking guide will pick you up and drive you to Materuni. After registering at the village office, your adventure begins with a scenic 40-minute hike to the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls. Along the way, your guide will share insights into Chagga traditions, daily village life, and the surrounding flora and fauna. With some luck, you may even catch a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro’s summit. The waterfalls, standing over 80 meters tall, create a refreshing natural pool at their base, perfect for a swim—so be sure to bring your swimwear.
After soaking in the scenery, you’ll return to the village to enjoy a traditional Chagga lunch, along with the chance to taste local banana beer, a unique cultural experience.
Coffee Tour
The day continues with a hands-on coffee experience. Learn every step of the process—from cultivation and drying to roasting and grinding—guided by local farmers. You’ll even get to join in the traditional coffee-grinding process, often accompanied by Chagga songs and dances, making it both educational and entertaining. Finally, enjoy a freshly brewed cup of your own coffee while taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding rainforest.
