About this tour

This is a six-day group safari with a maximum of 6–7 clients, traveling in a custom safari jeep with a pop-up roof, accompanied by a professional guide/driver and chef. The tour covers the most famous northern circuit parks. You will spend 2 days/1 night in Serengeti National Park, the largest park in Tanzania, best known for the great migration of over one million wildebeest alongside more than 250,000 zebras. Another highlight is the Ngorongoro Crater, offering breathtaking landscapes and a surreal view of the crater floor, where wildlife sightings are easier due to the permanent water source. The Tarangire National Park, often referred to as a smaller Serengeti, is famous for its large herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees. This safari gives you plenty of time to observe wildlife and enjoy the natural beauty of Tanzania—perfect for travelers passionate about exploring animals and nature.

Day 6: Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour
On your final day, immerse yourself in Tanzania’s great outdoors with a full-day tour to Materuni Waterfalls, ideal for cultural explorers and active travelers. Begin with a scenic hike to the 80-meter-high falls, where you can enjoy the stunning views and take a refreshing swim at the natural pool. Afterward, visit a local coffee farm and learn about Tanzania’s coffee-making process—from cultivation to roasting. You’ll also take part in traditional coffee grinding, often accompanied by Chagga songs and dances, and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of your own coffee. The experience includes round-trip transportation from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, along with a traditional local lunch.

Note: On this tour, you will stay camping during the safari

We will pick you up from your hotel, and after meeting your guide and chef, we will drive for about 2 hours to Tarangire National Park, known for its diverse landscapes. The park is especially famous for its iconic ancient baobab trees and the largest elephant population in the country, offering excellent opportunities to observe elephant family interactions. During the game drive, we will follow reports of wildlife sightings—mainly predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which are more challenging to spot—while herbivores like giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras are abundant throughout the park.

Later, we will stop at the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with beautiful views of the river and its surrounding wildlife. Playful monkeys and baboons may try to snatch your food, but there is no need to worry.

After lunch, we will continue the game drive until around 4:30 pm, before leaving the park and heading to our campsite in Mto Wa Mbu for dinner and overnight stay.

There is also an optional visit to a Maasai village, where you can learn about the culture of this iconic tribe. Traditionally, the Maasai were known for practices such as chasing lions from their kills, hunting lions to be recognized as warriors, and drinking raw animal blood. While most of these customs are no longer practiced—apart from drinking blood—you will still have the chance to discover fascinating aspects of their heritage and way of life.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is vast, spanning 14,750 square kilometers (5,700 sq mi), and is world-renowned for the great wildebeest and zebra migration, with over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras moving together in a survival-driven partnership.

Our focus will be the Seronera region, located in the heart of the park.

We will arrive in the late afternoon, and after lunch, set out for a game drive in Seronera until evening. This will be a perfect opportunity to witness the breathtaking Serengeti sunset and observe wildlife up close—if fortunate, you may even spot a predator hunting or feeding. Later, we’ll head to the Seronera campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Materuni Waliking tour

Materuni is home to the Chagga tribe and remains one of the most authentic tribal villages in the region. Located just 15 km from Moshi Town, it is the last settlement before reaching Kilimanjaro National Park.
Your day begins in the morning when our English-speaking guide picks you up and drives you to Materuni Village. Upon arrival, you’ll register at the village office before starting your adventure.

The first activity is a visit to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, about a 40-minute walk from the village. Along the way, your guide will share insights into Chagga traditions, village life, and the local flora and fauna. The walk offers spectacular views, and with clear weather, you may even glimpse the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. The waterfall itself cascades over 80 meters, forming a natural pool perfect for a refreshing swim—so remember to bring your swimwear!

After soaking in the beauty of the falls, you’ll return to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch and a taste of the local banana beer—a unique experience not to be missed.
