This budget-friendly safari is conducted in a custom jeep with a pop-up roof and accompanied by a driver/guide and a chef. The tour covers the famous Northern Circuit parks, including a 3-day exploration of the Serengeti, the largest park in Tanzania, renowned for its annual migration of over one million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras.
You will also visit the Ngorongoro Crater, the highlight of the trip, famous for its stunning landscapes and breathtaking views. The crater floor makes wildlife viewing easier, offering excellent opportunities to spot a variety of animals.
Tarangire National Park, often described as a smaller Serengeti, is well-known for its large elephant population. This safari provides plenty of time for game drives, wildlife observation, and relaxation, making it ideal for travelers passionate about exploring animals.
Note: Accommodation during the safari is in campsites. Lodge upgrades are available at an additional cost.

Game Drive in Tarangire
You will be picked up from your hotel and, after meeting your guide and chef, drive approximately 2 hours to Tarangire National Park, known for its diverse landscapes. The park is particularly famous for its ancient Baobab trees and the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, offering unique opportunities to observe elephant family interactions.
A game drive will follow areas with reported wildlife activity, focusing on predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which are harder to spot, while herbivores like giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest are abundant throughout the park.
At midday, stop at the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with scenic views of the river and wildlife. Playful monkeys and baboons may try to get close to your meal, but there is no need to worry.
After lunch, continue your game drive before exiting the park around 4:30 pm. You will then drive to Mto Wa Mbu for an overnight stay at the campsite.

Game Drive and Departure
On the final day of your Tanzania safari, after breakfast and packing a picnic lunch, you will take a short drive to the descent gate and head down 650 meters to the crater floor for a half-day game drive. With some luck, you may spot a rhinoceros. The crater is home to some permanent resident animals, as its year-round water sources make it a preferred habitat, though wildlife is free to move in and out.
After lunch, ascend back to the crater rim, collect your camping gear, and drive back to Arusha. This marks the end of your 5-day Tanzania safari.
