About this tour

This is a 5-day Tanzania Lodge Safari group tour (in a custom safari jeep with a pop-up roof) accompanied by a guide/driver.

The tour covers the famous northern circuit parks, including a 3-day visit to the Serengeti, the largest park, known for over a million wildebeest migrating alongside more than 250,000 zebras. It also includes the Ngorongoro Crater, the highlight of the tour, with its stunning landscapes and easier wildlife viewing due to the crater floor.

Tarangire is like a smaller Serengeti, famous for its large elephant population. This tour allows sufficient time in the parks to view wildlife and relax, making it ideal for those passionate about exploring animals.

We will then stop at the Tarangire River picnic site to enjoy lunch with views of the river and wildlife. Small monkeys and baboons may approach, but there is no need to worry.

On your last day of the Tanzania Safari, after breakfast and a picnic lunch, take a short drive to the descending gate and drive down the 650-meter-deep crater floor for a half-day game tour. If lucky, you may see rhinoceros.

The crater also has several permanent resident animals, as it has water throughout the year, so many animals prefer to stay though they are free to enter or leave the crater. After lunch, ascend the crater rim and then drive back to Arusha. This concludes your 5-day Tanzania lodge safari.
